AL Solutions are searching for a principal clinical database programmer to join a Global CRO (Contract Research Organisation). You have the flexibility to work 100% from home if you’re based in the UK.

Our client is a Global CRO that are headquartered in the UK. They have a medium sized headcount of around 500 employees and are looking to expand further.


Principal Clinical Database Programmer Responsibilities

  • Lead/support clinical database programming activities and associated documentation involved in the clinical trial startup, conduct and close-out phases.
  • Carry out all activities in accordance with the protocol, SOPs and GCP
  • Lead/support the clinical study database design
  • Developing listings and reports
  • Support relevant internal/external users for the EDC systems and other clinical databases /reporting+processing tools
  • Accountable for timely deliverables of all activities related to your projects
  • Hands on data programming activities
  • Creation of CAPAs and root cause analyses for assigned studies
  • Create mitigation plans by analysing issues
  • Overseeing the study metrics and KPIs for your team’s studies – highlight any issues to senior management
  • Participate in improving of processes, data management systems and tools
  • Review and implement processes, policies, SOPs and other documents affecting data management
  • Client management/communication


Principal Clinical Database Programmer Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience within database programming (CRO environment)
  • Extensive experience with RAVE
  • Strong communication skills
