Your responsibilities will be in the areas of:

  • Line management for the SAS programming team
  • Supervise/manage the activities from the team
  • Perform appraisals in a timely manner for company-wide annual reviews
  • Set objectives, assess career direction, assess training needs of your team
  • Supervise the smooth running of all programming activities
  • Ensure adequate training material is in place
  • Contribute to internal training
  • Identify resource gaps and be involved within the selection, interviewing and hiring of new members of the SAS programming team
  • Allocate the resources/lead programmer for each study, ensuring that all is performed within budget and adhering to the standard agreed
  • Monitor the resource utilisation
  • Lead process improvement initiatives within the team
  • Participate in internal/external meetings and represent the SAS programming team



The experience required for this position:

  • Strong CRO/Pharma background
  • Strong SAS programming skills
  • Managerial background/leadership skills
  • Experience within line management
  • Project Management skills
